Privacy Statement

Last updated April 13, 2026

We may use people's data, but not their names, in commercial datasets.

This page explains how LDS Couple Engagement Survey collects and uses account, demographic, and survey information. The key point is simple: we may use de-identified and aggregated data for business purposes, but we do not intend to include direct identifiers like names or account emails in the datasets we share or sell externally.

What we collect

We collect the information needed to run LDS Couple Engagement Survey, including account email addresses, authentication records handled through Supabase Auth, partner invite email addresses when you provide them, signup demographics such as gender and age range, and the survey responses you save in the app.

We do not require your real name to create an account. Even so, free-text responses may contain personal details if you choose to type them.

How we use data inside the product

We use account and response data to authenticate users, save progress, connect partners into one couple workspace, unlock comparison views, maintain security, investigate misuse, and improve the product.

Optional future AI summarization

If we enable an AI summarization feature in the future, it will be optional and require explicit agreement from both partners before it runs for a couple.

That feature may involve sharing selected survey responses with a third-party AI service provider so the app can generate summaries or discussion prompts. Because free-text responses can contain sensitive personal details, you should not opt in unless you are comfortable with that additional processing.

Commercial use of de-identified data

We may analyze, combine, aggregate, de-identify, license, share, or sell survey-response data, demographic trends, and related insights to companies, research partners, or other organizations.

Any dataset we share or commercialize for those purposes will be stripped of direct identifiers such as account email addresses and will not intentionally include names. If a free-text response appears to contain a name or another identifying detail, we may remove, redact, or exclude that content before the data is used commercially.

What we do not promise

We do not promise that all data held inside the service is anonymous. We use identifiable account information, such as email addresses, to operate the app, deliver invitations, secure accounts, and administer the service.

Your choices

You can stop using the service at any time. You can also delete your account from the account page inside the app. Account deletion removes your sign-in and your saved survey data from the app flow, although de-identified or aggregated data already created for analytics, research, or commercial reporting may continue to be used.
